Cartridge Carriers

Reduce errors in device handling by loading small or fragile devices into a multi-site cartridge carrier ready for all stages of test and measurement. This unique tray based design is ideal for bare die, MEMs devices, and packaged IC’s.  RTI's cartridge carriers can reduce your overall cost of test from prototype through production and at any stage in between. Test devices in prototyping/engineering, qualification, burn-in, HAST, ATE production, final test, programming, failure analysis, and more without having to transfer or even touch each DUT between test stages.  

Cartridge carriers are two-piece designs with no electrical contact to the house and align the DUTs in place when mounted to a test socket. Both single and multi-site RTI custom test sockets are available which interface with the DUT board, load board, and probe station test heads.  Cartridge carriers are mounted to test socket interfaces using screws or single site clamshell lids.  They also incorporate pockets for air flow and open top access for device access.

  • Single site test socket has indexing pins to mate with each of the sites on cartridge. Custom footprints available for your existing DUT/Burn-in PCBs
  • Socket adds no pressure to the DUT except what is applied by the pin force - determined by device pitch and your performance requirements

  • Designed for tight pitches and low pin counts. Ideal for MEMs devices and other small/fragile devices
