DevICE™ Cube Cooling System

DevICE Cube peltier device and cooling plate
The DevICE™ Cube is a combination of a Thermo-Electric Cooler (TEC), otherwise known as a Peltier device, and a fluid recirculation system which can transfer heat from your device at a rate that far exceeds a passive air cooled heat sink. For low power devices, the system can maintain the device package temperature below ambient room temp and for high power devices; it can remove heat more efficiently than other means keeping it cooler so that fault isolation methods like emission microscopy work better. Whatever the reason you need to cool your devices, the DevICE™ Cube will maintain a more constant temperature throughout the analysis. This system can also add heat when needed making it a very versatile piece of equipment.
Custom Pogo Pin Rings & Blocks

Octapogo Series Pogo Pin
Frame 8 Pogo Blocks Shown

Single Pogo Pin Block
These products are used where a high degree of reliability, high insertion count/life span and vertical compliance is required RTI had supplied many pogo pin blocks and rings for various applications including:
- Daughter Card / Mother Board Interfaces
- Board to Board Applications
- High-Speed Cable Applications
- Socket Interposers
- Long Life, 100,000+ Connections
- Excellent Electrical Performance
- Very Short Board to Board Interconnect
- Many Body Materials Available Including PEEK and ULTEM
The below Pogo Pins are the most commonly used, but RTI can select from many other probes if the below does not match your requirements.
Large Pogo Pin Block
RTI is capable of producing large blocks of pogo pins in any array. This block was used in RTI's Bigfoot Test Fixture
Switch & Break-Out Boxes
RTI manufactures both standard and custom switch and break-out boxes. Our most popular standard boxes are 32 and 96 channels. Both are designed using PCB technology (no discrete wiring) and use high-performance sealed C&K switches. RTI also provides custom switch and break-out boxes designed to meet the specific requirements of our customers.
Only high-quality sealed C&K switches are used to enable each signal to float, or be tied to V+ or V-. It interfaces to test fixtures through 100-pin Yamaichi connectors. PCB technology is used for all interconnects to ensure high reliability. Standard banana jacks are provided for connection to each signal line. Binding posts can be ordered as an option. Size: 10.2in x 11in x 2in.
Similar to the 5100-096 switch and break-out boxes, numbered overlays are available for switch numbering of ganged units (e.g., 97 through 192, 193 through 288, etc.) Custom overlays are also available for BGA and PGA devices for number-letter pin designations. The 032 boxes interface through a standard 100-mil, dual-row, 34-pin header with pins 1 and 34 floating or tied to ground through jumpers. Also, these 32 pin switch boxes can be ganged to make larger units. V+, V- and earth ground are connected with banana jacks on the side of each box.
This device uses dry reed relays with a switching capacity of 0.25 amps and a current carrying capacity of 1.2 amps. Boxes can plug directly into the 5100-096 switch box (as shown here). Size: 10.2in x 5.0in x 2.0in. Note: A 5 VDC lab supply is required for operation.
Temperature Controller
The 9002A controller is designed for use with RTI's test fixtures for liquid crystal FA testing. The temperature is measured at the heater block and not the package. The actual temperature of the die may be higher or lower than the temperature measured. This unit is used with RTI's heated lids and socket bases.
RTI 9002A Temperature Controller- Line Voltage: 115/230 VAC+/-10% 50/60 Hz(set on back panel)
- Output Voltage: High Setting: 28VAC, Low Setting: 14VAC
- Temperature Range: Set to 180 C max. (Max recommended for test fixtures is 135 C.)
- Controller: Digital displays for both the set temperature and measured temperature.
- Temperature Sensor: Thermistor (located in test fixture) +/-5%
- Fuses: Both legs of line input, electronics for temperature controller, and 28/14 VAC output.
- Switches: Heat ON/OFF and HIGH HEAT/LOW HEAT
- Controls: Set Temperature UP/DOWN
